lake rhona access

Postby scrub boy » Fri 16 Jan, 2009 3:24 pm

G'day, thinking about heading into Lake Rhona thru the Florentine Valley short cut mid Feb and I am after any information regarding recent events (protests/exclusion zones etc.) and if they have any impact on this approach as i am not where all the recent action is in relation to the access roads.
cheers

You should be OK going through there, but to check, call Tas Police or Forestry Tasmania.
PM me if you would like my MSN.

I went through 2 weeks ago and there were no problems with access. Again, check with Tas Police before hand but I'm not aware that these roads are impacted by the recent protest action which is a bit further South.

I usually call Forestry first to make sure there are no burns planned in the area (don't want to return to find my car burnt out).
