Cape Hauy & Cape Pillar

Postby Andrew » Tue 09 Dec, 2008 9:05 pm

Planning a leisurly 3 night trip to the capes. Won't arrive until after lunch and keen to go to Cape Hauy first and was wondering about water 21st December and whether there are any camping spots somewhere after Cape Hauy.

Also assume there is drinkable water at Wughalee Falls, Lunchtime Creek & Pedition Ponds this time of the year?

What about water on the way back on the Cape Pillar track back to Fortescue Bay?

Thanks for any info,

Andrew

I wouldn't rely on there being any water around.. when ever i've walked to Hauy there's been no water on the track, and that was in late autumn. It's a very small catchment area and most water around becomes stagnant quite quickly. I'd carry water.
