Bookings? Is it required?

Postby pazzar » Mon 29 Mar, 2010 8:56 pm

After planning a trip to the Denison Range next week that is likely to fall through, I was wondering if the booking fee was required if I was to walk from Narcissus to Kia Ora and back? I understand that peak season is until April 30.

Cheers,

Jared

You only need a pass if you're doing the whole track.

Awesome, that is what I had heard, but I wasn't sure if it was true.

if your taking the ferry, better book soon as first ferry fri and last ferry mon are already booked out, which has screwed over my easter plans (going to do the du cane range traverse). Ferry operators said they will do additional ferry runnings early only if they have lots of interest.

Thanks for the tip. I am still unsure of which track we are taking, lake rhona is still an option if the rain stays away. We would be catching the first ferry on Monday if we head up to mt ossa. I am keen to do this as there are more mountains within easy reach up there.
