I like your style Aloftas.. At any stage, with any problem, it's usually better to do something, rather than nothing. Pieces of equipment like you suggest to protect certain key areas may work. But as usual, someone has got to sign the cheque before the work starts. On that basis, we're stuffed. Still, don't give up hope. Personally, where raging bushfires and 100m high walls of flame are concerned, I'd just run first, then pray harder! lol.

Hi all, New to this site, have been motivated by the January fires, outraged by the lack of wilderness fire fighting strategy. Particularly for the rare and threatened communities that can be destroyed by fire.
Aloftas has a some good points.
I will start a new topic under wildfire management.
