Panasonic FT1 ,some pics

Postby Franco » Sat 25 Sep, 2010 9:49 am

Some shots taken by my mate Yair Kellner with his Pana TS1.
I was using a Pana TS 11 , similar quality but he is a much better photographer and there are some lovely functions on his that I do not have , like long exposure.
Considering how small and light it is , I think that the TS1 (now TS2) is definitely one to keep in mind.
About 300 shots per charge .
When I get the time I will have a look at the movies taken with that one too. Can do AVCHD as well as AVI . I think that Yair shot some on each format as AVCHD is very hard to edit.

wow- that last one was awesome. Looks like the Tarptents are getting their paces.
All good things are wild, and free.

I spent 30 years selling cameras , still I can never make up my mind what to get.
(till 3 years ago when I "retired" I had almost any camera I liked at my disposal, in the end I took thousands of test shots but have nothing to show...)
The new "EVIL" (Electronic Viewfinder Interchangeable Lens) do look very appealing but I think that not having to worry about getting it wet or accidentally dropping it is a great advantage
Yair gets about 300 shots and some movie clips with one charge, good enough for me.
That long exposure mode is pretty nifty on a compact camera. It has 15/30 and 60 seconds.
BTW, his is the Aussie/EU version so it is an FT 1 (now FT2)

Hi Charlie
Forgot about the split on this one..
Yes your version is similar to the TS1/2 .
The whole idea is not to have excuses to leave the camera at home....
Sony now have a camera of that type with a 25mm equivalent lens (DSC TP99) but it isn't 'weatherised" so not "ideal" for me.
