Olympus SP 570

Postby bushboot65 » Tue 10 Mar, 2009 10:47 pm

I am walking the Larapinta Trail with a commercial group in August.
I will only be carrying a day pack so weight is not critical.
I want to get a camera which isn't too complicated and my cousin who travels a bit (but doesn't bushwalk)
has an Olympus SP 570 with the 20 optical zoom and suggested that he thought it was a good camera.

Has anyone used this camera or have any comments

I have always trusted the following site, and they gave it a great review:

Go for it!

I noticed it has been superceded with the SP590 now (26x zoom!). Might be able to get a good deal on the 570 or perhaps get the new one instead.

Thanks for the comments, I read Steve's review and it is really good.
Will see if I can get a good run-out deal
