Strong Volt solar panel

'm testing the Strong Volt panel.
Image
The panel itself is 375g.
So far I tested that charging 4xAAA ,2x USB Power Banks and a Samsung phone.
It works with all of them.
Note that it is charging both the Samsung phone and the 4xAAA at the same time.

Folded with the AA/AAA charger inside the pocket (a Varta unit from Bunnings , nothing to do with Strong Volt...)
Theoretically it has a 5v 1.5 A output so enough for an iPad
$30 plus delivery from Amazon.

Interesting. A good price certainly.

Would be good to find out the charging times.

How do you plan using this in the field? Set it up at the start/end of the day? Strapped to you pack?

That's cheap, My Goal-Zero cost me apx 160.00.

My Goal-Zero Nomad 7 solar kit, takes 4 hours to charge the supplied battery pack with 4 AA eneloops. Being up in QLD, I expected a quicker charge time with Solar, as they claim 3 hours. The best I can get is 4 hours.

Hi
Just playing with it at the moment..
I need to discharge some batteries before I can get charging times .
I have it right now open in the shade with three golf size blobs of sun hitting it and it still charging a couple of AA...
Image
It is well built and there are a couple of loops above the brand name to use to hook up to a pack.
One guy at BPL (http://www.backpackinglight.com/cgi-bin ... l?forum=38) Project 4 oz usb solar panel, stripped the unit down to under 300g but right now the extra weight does not bother me.
Opened is 18x51 cm

Any follow ups to this, in particular the charging time for a set of AAs?
Just move it!
