Continental Nutrish Soups

These are just so much better than the normal Cup A Soups. The ingredient and nutrition panels read pretty well, and they even have a couple of grams of fibre. They taste like real food. Normally $2 each for a single serve, but can be found for $1 on special.

The description for each individual item ends, "It's hard to believe something so nutritious could taste so good." Obviously the folks at Continental don't believe that nutrition and flavour are mutually compatible.

Every supermarket visit I make (usually only every 10 days or so) I really enjoy looking out for new product that I might take on a hike with me and lately there is so much more on offer than there used to be. I always buy something along with my groceries for my walking stash and the lack of walking opportunities recently means I have a really good stash happening, including a couple of these soups that I have yet to try.

I love continental hearty beef, a pre dinner, warm salty liquid after drinking water all day. Can be used for an umami bomb in other meals (like a good miso) or use less water for a beef gravy on instant spud.
I do make a good curry bean soup and a pea & ham but I dehyde for a main meal. Once again if rehydrated with less water these soups have been used as a sauce on noodles when carb craving.

6.5/10 not too bad/quite good sort of thing.
In the style of Kevin Rudd .... "Would I buy it again? Yes I would"
....but not at $2.
Will work my way through the selection.

Had the second pumpkin one with a bit less water and it was better.

The tomato and purple carrot Tickle Me Purple one is pretty good imo. Beats a a tomato cuppa soup hands down... which isn’t all that hard

The Purple one and the Sweet Beets one are quite sweet in a strange way, but I still like them.I think the Peas and the Pulse are my favs so far. Will revisit them all in an orderly fashion this week.
Yep $2 is over the top, I’ve been stockpiling in increments while they’re half price... don’t want to look like a hoarder
Normal cup a soups provide me with an instant, uncontrollable and rather alarming tickling cough in the back of my throat.
