whoops, forgot to post yesterday. Dehydrators in Aldis for $30. No idea what they are like

Have one, it works well enough. If you have reasonable expectations for an appliance that has an upper end price tag in four digits. All I care about is that its quiet enough to run overnight in a small apartment.

Ditto, I can't complain about my Aldi dehydrator. Maybe more exxy ones have more trays which would be useful and other features if you use it a lot (mine has 3 trays only which has it's limits).
