Hello All

I want to make my own hiking meals. I've tried some recipes for hiking and I quite like them, the only issue is how to dry them.

The only dehydrator for sale around my area is the sunbeam model, from what I've read it's not great for dehydrating meals.

Would anyone be able to recommend a decent dehydrator for drying meals, preferably with a max budget of $400.

Thanks

I had a couple of Sunbeams many years ago. They were what you could expect for $100. They were good for a beginner. They eventually buckled and warped. Couldn't take the heat long term.
My work includes dehydrating every day. For the last 6 yrs i have had an Ezidry model and it hasn't missed a beat. It was around that price point. The extra trays and so forth start to take it up from there. It can take a ridiculous number of trays. I have 15. I usually put on a minimum of 6 a day.

I got one of these 12 months ago. Fantastic and easy to use.

The "Frothie" looks very similar to one of these... https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/5-Star-Chef ... 3224!AU!-1

I bought a similar Ebay cheapie a couple of years ago and it works a treat.
