TIP: The online
Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Get 'em while you can.
https://www.kmart.com.au/product/butane ... -42879619/Now $3, down from $4.50 but they're a Clearance item.
Hopefully Kmart doesn't discontinue it.
if so, it will leave Bunnings for the cheap gas (the price Jetboil et al. charge for their canisters is exorbitant IMHO).

Are they all same quality?

Jetboil 230g canister at Anaconda is $17.99.
I'd struggle to comprehend that Jetboil is 4 times as efficient as Kmart's (Campmaster) at $4.50 (or 6 times better at $3).
Jetboil is 80% Iso-Butane, 20% Propane. Campmaster is 74% Isobutane/Butane, 26% Propane.
I just can't see the value in Jetboil gas (or other 'name' brands).

Yep. Jetboil pricing is a scam. Would be a shame if Kmart are going to stop carrying the cannisters.

The containers/canisters have a very long shelf life in dry cool conditions. Buy as many as you can afford to.

Sold out by the time I got there. Back to scrounging leftovers ...
