Spotting scopes

Anyone else use these? I am a fan of lugging them occasionally to nice views. On the hunt for a mid level 20-60x 80mm that won't kill the bank, considering the vortex diamondback. Most people are probably going 'huh?' but if any other scope fetishists are out there feel free to chime in. :D

Can't help with something that powerful but I occasionally carry a good 8x32 monocular for bird and animal watching - nice and bright but not too heavy - 226g.

Nice I carry a monoc sometimes too Mark, either a 8x36 or 10x25. The spotting scope is more for special occasions , too heavy for casual use or multi-day yes.

Currently carry a Vortex Solo R/T 8x36 and rate it highly. Easy to steady without a tripod or monopod and has the added benefit of a range finder reticule.
