Elastic suspended pack. Thoughts?

So the hoverglide pack in kickstarter has successfully raised more than enough funds for a elastic suspended pack.
My osprey packs suspension system makes a huge difference for me so this seems like it would be quite an awesome system. But whether it holds up to use might be another thing.

Sounds dodgy. How are they handling the oscillation frequency and to match it to the carrier's walking/running cadence? When it goes out of sync, it's going to induce some uncomfortable out of sync strains. What they demonstrated was walking/running under regular cadence with even pitch, classic lab condition than real life situation out on bush tracks, potentially dangerous and putting the walker out of balance on challenging tracks.

Interesting concept. However the current empty weight for the 55L is 9lbs (4kg). Not sure the claimed reduced load impact benefit makes up for an additional 2-3+ kg in carried weight.(compared to a ULW or LW pack)

It shows the benefit only really comes into play at heavier loads. Eg a 27kg load becomes 21kg (in terms of metabolic cost)

At lighter loads 10-15kg as carried by a typical lightweight multiday Walker the benefit won't be significant enough to counter the extra 2-3kg of the frame.

Still just laboratory fixed frequency oscillations data and no indication of outdoors real life walking. At 27kg, our Mad Belgium could have benefitted, just as for soldiers with weighty packs. What’s telling though in the video ad, they mentioned that the US military tested it. But if it was so brilliant, did the military adopt it? And why not? Didn’t DARPA want to fund it or there’d be no need to crowd source funds.
