I am selling a range of remote canister stoves. They were in general sent to me as Editor of Backpackinglight for test & review. In most cases they have been used no more than 2 or maybe 3 times for the review and then stored at my home in Australia.

The price (where shown) in () is the new price obtained from the web; the following price is the FS price. Please add postage and packing (see below), which varies depending on destination (Australia or overseas). It will normally be by Registered Post. Note that international postage may make some overseas purchases unrealistic.

Contact me via roger@backpackinglight.com for the correct Paypal address (it is not my email address!). Shipping will be to your Paypal address unless otherwise notified.

How many stoves do you have? Do you have a dedicated stove room?

Well, I think I had >50 different stoves all stacked up at the start, plus I have been making and selling my own design of ultra-light remote canister stoves for some time. Sold nearly 200 of them.
Not quite a dedicated gear room, but that is the problem. My wife reckons I have occupied too much of our normal storage space all over the house with gear ... whence the sale.
The workshop, on the other hand, does have a lot of 'stuff' for making stoves in it, plus machinery. Oh well ...

Cheers

Was your design the mod on a BRS stove with the aluminium preheat plate? If so, nice! A mate has one of those.

Yes, That was V1, but it used a Fire Maple burner, not a BRS. I looked at using the BRS-3000T but decided it was not quite good enough. I did a bulk buy direct from Fire Maple.

V2 and V3 followed, with a different burner design. Instead of using a commercial burner head, they have a vortex burner, a bit like an XGK. Titanium and aluminium mostly. So V2 and V3 are entirely my design and construction. Those two have different pot supports.

This is V2. OK, so I am boasting ... :)

Cool! Are the vortex burner heads as noisy as an XGK? Can it run on cannister gas?

All things are relative: not quite as noisy, but it IS a vortex burner. My wife likes the sound: it says 'dinner is coming' to her.

It ONLY runs on canisters, but the connector can accept the common screw thread, the less common French Campingaz (which is good stuff), and the hard to find Coleman Powermax canisters. I had some trouble in Europe once (long ago) with canister availability, so I made a universal connector.

I'm actually partial to the noise of an XGK myself. I still have one from the 80's somewhere with the wobbling pot stands and solid fuel line. It was a beast for ski touring. I'm pretty sure the pump has had it by now.

Email on the way. Sorry about the slow response, babysitting duties demanded my attention.
