(FS-TAS) Lowe Alpine MX42-52 Backpack

Once an item is sold, found or thread is no longer needed we move it here. These maybe helpful for historic reasons.

(FS-TAS) Lowe Alpine MX42-52 Backpack

Postby Nuts » Sun 10 Mar, 2019 12:07 pm

42L (plus a 10L overload/shovel/crampon pocket) climb sports backpack. Well used but tough packs with a long life left. Obliged to try a sale.
The inner back sheet panel pockets shrunk, a little bolt was the easiest fix (and has held up fine) but could be trimmed down (the back sheet and the support stay) and the bolt removed

$25 plus postage (they aren't lightweights, from around $20 /Melbourne+) or pickup. Send a postcode in your message.

I have lots. Any leftovers will go to a good cause. If you represent a good cause, charity or community group, send a message.

It's been a long time since I was on ski's m'dog (though I did just buy a splitboard :) and will hold on to one of these packs).
I'd say they'd be ideal. One of our guides uses his to ski tour and says it's great.
But I actually bought them for walking, they fit tiny to XL with the pivoting belt, and the front pocket is a very well protected tent space.

Apparently this model had a huge following until LA changed the design. I'd keep them other than they are considered 'heavy', our new packs are adequate, specific to walking and much lighter.
