Two new suggestions/ideas.

1. Add a link to every users profile page that allows you to bring up a list of threads created by a user.
ie: search.php?author_id=-USERID&sr=threads

2. I can't actually remember now but I will post back when I do!

A passing thought. It would be useful to have a function to mark a topic as read.

Excellent forum for finding out the useful and not so useful information. Hard to please ALL the people ALL of the time. Remember, moderators are human too (mostly) with frailties shortcomings strengths like the rest of us who dabble in this forum. Agree with some issues the sometimes almost duplication of posts ( of which i've also been guilty) but overall the forum is well set out and easy to navigate. A useful tool for trip planning as well as viewing other's experience with gear. If i had any suggestions. it would add another section to the site- perhaps in the local track site, called weather, with links to the major weather sites in Aus.
Cheers

I know, this is old now, and you may have found the answer anyway. But just in case...

You can see your own posts by click "View your posts".

You can see other peoples posts from their profile page by clicking "search user's posts". Just click on their user name to see their profile page.

Thanks walkinTas but they are links to posts users made, not threads as I mentioned.

Aah! I see now. That's not a standard feature. It requires the addition of a modification - specifically the phpbb "Prime User Topics" mod. And the problem with mods is they can make the software harder to maintain and update.

It used to be a standard feature in whatever was used before phpbb was around, dunno why it disappeared. It's so messy to have just a list of posts without understanding the context of the initial poster.
