Welll.. beside myself was a bit 'tongue in cheek'.. It is a lot easier to defend wilderness already within reserves though. No politics, exaggerations, trade-offs or diss-affected communities, just this concept of 'minimal'-impact and all it entails.

O...K.. Get a bit carried away did we? Too funny!

What an odd thread- forum eat forum! It was actually a great question, interesting concept, worth discussing, a small part of a larger set of issues.. had it all!! It must be obvious that i don't personally like the idea (probably the precedent more than anything). That aside it did get a bit ruff n tumble. I think Matt deserves credit, trying to do the right thing it seems... and yes maybe the best way to limit damage is by increased tailored info. A bit like backburning :) I'm not sure, I can't see it but still worth discussion?

I wouldn't have thought so no.

Seems to me as the only one to comment on this thread for over 2 weeks you are once again trying to entice arguments.

Haha, you still here Trackmaster!!! Anyhow, no. But I can understand how it can be seen that way (can't please everyone). It's also clear that personal attacks are easier for some than either arguments or discussions (or just going away)

I was responding honestly to your question. I have nothing to console your opinion that it is an attack.

Yeah well, this may come as a revelation but it wasn't my decision to give you such a lengthy ban.. And not being a good moderator in such company I regard as my finest achievement

You will have to ask Matt for the link seeing he has removed it for some reason...

..but I am sure you are just being rhetorical seeing that it's another advanced hiker site.

See you there... :D

PS: here is a similar site that uses the same format but not for bushwalking...
