Mobile version when logging in on laptop

In the last couple of weeks and about 80% of when I log in I get the mobile version coming up. Why? I haven't changed any settings recently, never asked for a mobile version, deleted all my cookies and it still happens most of the time. What to do?

Hi Guys
Try clicking the "Desktop" button at the bottom of the page - This will (hopefully) add a cookie that says you want desktop mode. Detecting mobile vs laptop can be tricky -- sorry for the hassle. Hopefully this button works for you.

Sounds frustrating.
It sounds like cookies are not enabled on your your browser. Can you double check.
If still a problem can you let me know what browser and operating system you are using and I can look into it more.

Have the same problem, Mods gave some advice, didnt work.. I just click 9 different things now to get to the main page... bit annoying yes.

Ohoh oops
I also have DoNotTrackMe installed and...hehe...I guess it prevented any bushwalk cookies to do their thing.
I have now enabled Bushwalk.com to track me and hopefully it will work better.

Firefox is up to v23. Irrespective, have you tried with another browser? Sounds like a user end problem that's specific to the particular browser/extensions in place. Erase cache, erase cookies, erase settings and see.

Good advice also try closing DoNotTrackMe completely to see if that helps. There may be several cookies bouncing around and it is most likely the cause of the prob.

I already cleared history/coockies/cache before I posted my first post on the issue. I did the same thing again, turned off DoNotTrackMe but then I got the mobile version EVERY time I came here Enabled DoNotTrackMe again (white-listing bushwalk.com) and it's back to "normal" ie most of the time I get the mobile version

Not sure what you mean. I can change some settings but not erase them...

Is bushwalk.com sending any 3rd party cookies? (I don't allow any)

I haven't seen this issue with Chrome but then I stopped using chrome for this site a while ago when I got logged out everytime I was posting...and the post was lost. Don't want to go back to that!
