A blatant plug for votes

Postby tasadam » Tue 04 Oct, 2011 1:54 pm

If you are inclined... Feel free to visit my entry in this photographic competition and click on "vote for me" up the top.

You may vote once a day, for another 2 weeks or so. Yeah, I'm desperate...

It doesn't appear to offer the ability to see the whole competition, rather asks entrants to send their link to as many people as possible and secure votes that way.

Adam, you might need to keep bumping this to maintain the votes coming in. I have a memory like a sieve

It does seem like a strange competition, seems he with the most friends wins.
But, a few votes might get me noticed by the judges, and the main prize is $25,000 - and someone has to win it. Worth a go, even if it does cost me $10 a photo just to enter.

Thanks for the votes peoples...

You are welcome. I like your work. It is understated, that shows good taste. I'll rustle you up a few more votes.

Warren.

And if you access the site from more than 1 computer, you can vote from each computer once a day. I only have 2 systems I can vote from so have done so . Twice

at a guess, if you delete site cookies you will probably be able to vote multiple times from the same computer

I've voted three times now.

I'm hoping you remember this when you win the 25k and don't know what to do with some it ;)

Dare I say, wishful thinking. But I guess I'm in with a chance, being that I've entered...

Most competitions are generally smarter than this these days :D

I like the photos by the way, have you entered the Photo5 competition?

Tasadam,

You might want to have a look, some of the photos are pretty cool.
Long story short it's a competition that Canon run, for the last 3-4 years anyway.
They have a set of briefs and each entrant is required to meet the brief requirements. It's challenging and fun trying to meet the brief conditions.
I entered for fun because I won an entry box from a shop. To have a look at the entries just find the canon website and the Photo5 section.

Bad luck Adam. You mean all that button pushing was for nothing .
You're not wrong about the interesting choices. Some of those are completely wacky IMHO.
I don't mind artistic interpretation but guess I prefer traditional landscape images. Unfortunately that category really wasn't represented at all in the finalists.
