Living in northwest and other parts of Tassie

Postby Nuts » Fri 17 Sep, 2010 8:59 pm

Meh.. South, too hot, too cold, too dry, too many southeners :D or idealistic expats ...
The north west is closer to the tassie dream, rolling green hills n great mountains to explore, better climate n no southeners! har ...

Yer... I did live down there for a few years, in the city and out towards the Tasman penn.
It was nice to have easy access to the city.... ( hmmm, what other holes can be picked :D )
(Melbourne is less than hour from Here!)

Yeh no thanks!! Parantly the Huon valley is already one of the few places where the real estate market is rising and not falling, mostly due to interstate buyers....

I just dont like the big, flat, treeless, dull, dirty, smelly cities!!!

Ah man thats gorgeous down there!! complete with it's own sign.. Permanent residents 7!!

Well i'd be envious if you did!! We considered buying further south, but as I said earlier I was working in Hobart and the drive up is long (by Tasmanian standards)

yer, it is. isnt it... for some reason i always feel like im really on holiday the times i been down there (setting aside that i mostly am...) just seems to be that little bit more peaceful than anywhere else...

i wouldnt want to have to commute from way down there. i was even thinking somewhere to moor or drydock a boat would be ideal!

SBS brings up the prospect of a chat function again.....

I think it would be good. We'd be able to have proper conversations.
