Perth & Brisbane Outdoor Shops

Postby ambrose47 » Sun 10 Mar, 2019 3:57 pm

Hi All

I have a holiday coming up where I will be staying in Perth & Brisbane for 12 days. I'm looking for recommendations on any good outdoor / camping stores to visit. Where I come from we only have a Kathmandu and Macpac to choose from so not the best selection.

In Perth I will be staying in Ascot at the holiday park so closeish to the CBD and have public transport close to get to places and in Brisbane I will be staying in Newmarket also in the holiday park so closeish to the buses and a train station. One of the days I will be catching the train to the Gold Coast for a look around.

Also on a side note maybe not the right forum for it but any recommendations on any Men's Gift, Collectable, Hobby, Sports Merchandise / Memorabilia type stores in the same area will be gratefully received.

Thanks
Neil

Brisbane.
Wickham St, Fortitude Valley.
Close to China Town.
Concentration of 5-6 bushwalking shops within 100metres.
Mountain views are good for my soul...& getting to them is good for my waistline !

K2
Paddy Pallin
MacPac
Mountain Design ? Or has it closed ??

I think that’s it from memory.

West End used to have one, buggered if I can remember its name

K2 was good when we were kitting ourselves out once we got the right sales guy.

I was adding kathmandu fortitude valley to the mix too, a street away on the other side of Chinatown.

Thanks Weeds, forgot Mountain Designs had closed down, was going off memory, it's been well over a year since I've been to the area

There's also Wildearth down the Goldcoast.
