Very interesting. Pretty harsh on Worsley as it glosses that his trip seemed to be as much an obsession with Shackleton as anything else.

Good stuff. But to me, all the crossings are questionable. I'm waiting for the first one from the northernmost point to the southernmost, via the Pole. That is a true traverse.

Fantastic article, needs to be shared around more - its high time this sort of ' trophy hunting' was called out.

More and more these days we're seeing celebrity hopefuls use deceptive criteria and selective or outright omitted 'facts' to claim 'records' - usually for the sake of monetizable fame via social media. Reading this article, I couldn't help but immediately think of a certain Belgian...
