Got published in the Mercury today

Well I'm a happy boy.

My photos of Repulse Dam made it on page 2 of the Mercury today, as well as on their home page & story.

Verily pleased. For those interested, I made a video as well - http://www.benshortphotography.com/2009 ... dam-video/

Good work Ben, what type of video camera are you shooting on?

 Google tells me lots of people came from the Mercury Site

Anyhoo Camera...camera....

Video was taken with a Sony DCR-TRV250E - One of the first Digital 8 Cameras on the market. I liked the tape over a HDD due to to abilty to "swap out" tapes. One of the downsides is that if its dead quiet, you hear the tape mechanism in the audio. I'm considered modding the microphone to stop that, but it's more time than it's worth :)
