Wallaby type

Postby Franco » Sat 05 Mar, 2016 8:50 am

Hi,
this is Wally our semi-resident wallaby.
Can someone identify his type ?
Image
The roos keep our lawns very trim, Wally eats vines and flowering plants.
He gets away with it because he is very cute.
(BTW, in this photo he is observing my cat , could be the first cat he has seen)

Swamp Wallaby (Wallabia bicolor). Very common in Victoria.
Sometimes, I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

Hi,
Thank you for that.
I thought it was but I can't really tell one from the other ...

No worries. Happy to be corrected by anyone but I think there are only three types of wallabies in Victoria - Swamp Wallaby, Red-necked Wallaby and Brush-tailed Rock Wallaby.
