Nuts wrote:It is amazing isnt it, i hadnt taken much notice of how far things have come since my bmx days. Its like watching evolution in the making... I thought he was 'nuts' too, though the more i watch it, the more i think that the kid is just so 'tuned in'... It stuck in my mind for days after i first saw it...

I used to work with BMX tricks rider, he was always injured, in his early twenties and he already had a knee reconstruction, quite a few broken collar bones, always had skin missing and now walks with a limp as one of his ankles is stuffed. I think I will stick to bushwalking

Yeah, this footage blew my mind when I saw it a few weeks ago too Nuts & also stayed in my head for days.
I'm glad I don't still have my BMX from my youth, I'd probably go out & try to emulate his bag o tricks & kill myself.
That alley-oop (somersault with a twist) he does off the tree is off the richter, among a host of other mind blowing moves.
It always amazes me the level that each generation pushes things...just when you think it has reached a logical conclusion...

Being a mad keen skier as well the level that sport is being pushed to also blows me away;
a very small sample of that scene here:

Yep Tony, not sure the aging body could handle being 'pushed' anymore, I'll need my knees for many years of walking to come!

Enviously.

Thanks Nuts, I really enjoyed that. We watched a few boys in Melbourne with their stunt bikes, they were good but not quite that good. We've also been involved with Trials motorbike riding which is similarly awesome when done at a high level.
Inspiring to push the limits it certainly is!

Too cool for school!

Beautifully shot/edited/mixed.......and the guy on the bike isn't bad either. :lol:

He needs to get out of the city though, that will test his imagination.

Yes, you would think there would be mostly softer landings in 'the bush' (what little is left- in the UK) :D

They don't have bush in the UK(other than Kate) - she could pump out a good tune!
I think they call it woods, I'm sure I saw an acre or two when I was there :lol:
